Key West is a great place for happy hour, with bars typically offering specials every day of the week. There are also many locations with walking distance so you can safely explore the island’s best happy hours.
.) Kelly’s Caribbean Bar offers deals on microbrews, margaritas, and Key Lime margaritas. Another great value is half-price clams, oysters, or peel-and-eat shrimp. Drinks are half off, including frozen drinks, wine, mixed drinks, and beer. They also have coupons for a free drink in the See Key West book, which is available for free anywhere you go on the island.
.) The Conch Republic Seafood Company offers a good variety of seafood appetizers, and drinks are two-for-one on beer and basic drinks. When you get your first drink, you get a token to get your next drink free. This can be used on the same visit or on a future day (during happy hour only).
.) The Half Shell Raw Bar offers some of the best shrimp in Key West, and you can enjoy them overlooking the harbor on the veranda. That same See Key West booklet gives you a second drink for free. Happy hour specials include 50 cent oysters on the outside deck or at the bar.
.) Pepe’s Cafe makes a great Bloody Mary, and drafts are only $1 all day. They frequently provide plates of free food at the bar or for anyone waiting for a dinner table.
.) Turtle Kraals has happy hour specials every night, with half-priced beer wine, house drinks, and appetizers. They are well known for their nachos and conch fritters, which are also inexpensive. Don’t miss the turtle races during happy hour on Monday and Friday.
.) Schooner Wharf Bar has two happy hours, one in the morning and one in the evening. They have live music most evenings, and it’s a favorite hangout for locals, with great Bloody Mary’s and a Dark & Stormy drink that’s a must-try. Frank the Magician performs most weekends.
