About Holy Grail of the Lakes

The only church in the Village of Meredith Bridge (which later became Laconia) burned severely on Feb. 27th, 1836 and was resurrected by the members of the Laconia Congregational Society on the corner of Church and Main Street. First designed as a Greek Revival Style structure was redesigned by Arthur Davis in 1871. The building was raised 6 feet to provide for a lower level, the old steeple was removed and replaced with a three story tower. The new steeple with its belfry and clock tower reache
