Maryland is well known for its seafood and it's no wonder. The Chesapeake Bay boasts higher production rates of crabs, clams and oysters than any similar brackish water source. Steamed crabs, covered in Old Bay seasoning, alongside sweet corn, can be found up and down the bay and ocean coasts. It's not always about the shellfish, however. Many restaurants provide wonderful interpretations of traditional American fare. It's easy to find turkey and dressing, fried chicken or freshwater fish cooked to perfection in a number of different locations throughout the state.
